Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), or micro needling, is a way to address the signs of acne scarring, surgical scarring, fine lines and wrinkles by producing thousands of micro-injuries in the skin in an effort to trigger the body's wound healing process. This assists in the promotion of collagen and elastin, the two proteins predominantly responsible for the structure of the skin. SkinPen® Precision is the first FDA-cleared micro needling device for aesthetic use, meaning it has been rigorously tested for safety in the US.
